So today, I told my kiddos, my students, that they were my retirement plan. While they sat in class laughing over our metaphors and similes assignment, I explained that was secretly writing down all of the funny and sweet things they said in class, and that one day I was going to write a book about them, and it would be a best-seller that would help supplement my income when I retired.
Here are some of my favorites ~
I am as grumpy as Ms. Bryant before she has her morning coffee.
The star was a dancer twirling in the sky.
The tree is a towering giant standing watch.
I am as sad as Ms. B’s ex. (Yes, I told this child that he had an A for the day.)
The rain is tears from the students trapped in Ms. Bryant’s language arts class.
Hahahah!! You could def make a book

Awe, thank you so much. I’ll have to get my son to look, I’m not sure where it is. I’ll see if he can rectify the comment thingy.
