Stand tall in the midst of each stinging stare
Savor the indignation of rejection
Each wayward soul will one day find
A heart laid bare for reflection
Contradiction casts a defiant tang
And longs for exhalation.
This snare snaps shut
And entraps an entire rebellious little nation
Judgments pierce into your core
Witness each cruel inspection
Arrows aimed in your midst
Surrendered distress at detection
Give attention to that callous voice
and deny each imperfection
Hold fast onto your guarded truth
And stumble with introspection
Today’s topic denial.
Rolling strong Ann Marie. So nice to have you back.
