Aspirations

The hidden shadows will approach the light.

Restless spirits ascent to boundless glee.

Concealed visions will climb and take to flight.

And all these nameless dreams will be set free.

 

Expectant aspirations hid in fear.

Wondering how my circle would respond.

Would I be mocked for affirmed thoughts held dear?

Could this novel adventure break our bond?

 

But to my longing heart I must be true.

Cast aside the doubts of short compose

Inside my soul a need to follow through

And at last to share my contented prose.

 

So with the finish I will not lose sight,

For within my heart I know I must write!

  2. I really should not read your work in the short breaks I get on my job. You often leave me thoroughly distracted and struggling to get my brain back on what I’m supposed to be thinking about…
    And yes, me too.

    1. I wasn’t very clear…lol…you are supposed to read between the lines. 🙂 On the site where I found the challenge, they just post daily….so not all the poems for the month are listed. But seriously,I am so far behind, I need to catch up anyway!
