At high tide

in a clear bay

a graceful beast,

who has forgotten to evolve,

flies in salty water-

Dancing to an ancient tempo

of sea gulls wailing in the breeze,

sliding among sea stars and urchins-

In one magical performance, this feared sea

creature transforms into a mystical sea maid,

and offers a a private show for an enraptured

viewer who longs to glide with the beast in the sea.
