Today’s topic suggested writers focus on strange animals or pets…my furbabies fall into both categories.  The writing form requested kenneling.  Another first, I have never “kenneled” before today, and I can’t believe I have never heard about this form.  This will be a fun poetry form that I will use with my sixth graders when we begin our poetry chapbooks.  Happy Writing!

      1. Your so welcome, Ann. I’ve been lax in visiting since it’s been hectic around here. Hopefully, with the advent of winter, I can get back to visiting as I normally would.

      2. Mine too. I just finished the online book I was writing, now I’m revamping it and I have 2 others to finish so I can’t quite wrap my brain around writing something else, other than the daily prompt Sheryl provides . Never thought I’d see that day!lol

      3. I have missed writing; it’s hard to get motivated again. I thought the poetry challenge would help me get back into the swing of things. I wish I could write a book…so daunting…i’ve started two…

  1. Loved this! Especially the Houdini Skedaddlers, I haven’t heard ‘skedaddle’ since I left the Appalachias and it was lovely to see it again.

  2. I can be such a savage. I thought “kenneling” always involved a box cage, suitable for traveling with one’s fur babies. But in poetry – who knew…?
