If Life were an Umbrella

If tenderness were an umbrella,

it would shelter all from pain.

If friendship were an umbrella,

it would offer protection from the rain.

If laughter were an umbrella,

smiles would conceal the sorrow.

If hope were an umbrella,

it would reveal a happier tomorrow.

If joy were an umbrella,

kindness would present our decree.

If love were an umbrella,

affection would share our jubilee.

If peace were an umbrella,

compassion would spread like fire.

If faith were an umbrella,

goodwill would be our desire.

If life were an umbrella,

it would protect all humanity

and when the sun disembarked,

a better place we would foresee.
