Helping others discover their roots
“There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.” Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel is essential to good parenting. However, I feel I must also provide my children (and myself) insight into the ones who came before us: our ancestors whose lives and stories have shaped us into who we are. This is my journey; these are their stories…

I guess that is why most of my personal posts reflect on my growing-up days. Life seemed slower then.
You have been sweet enough to like and/or comment on many of my younger days posts, including my travel ones: https://kindredconnection.wordpress.com/2019/01/06/land-of-the-pharaohs/. Perhaps you will enjoy my most recent personal post, a slightly sentimental story about my spiritual journey so far: https://kindredconnection.wordpress.com/2019/02/11/spiritual-journey/.
Thanks, Ann Marie! 🙂

Hi Ann Marie. I have a new story with 4 events that I’d like to return to;
1) I’d like to change so that it never would have happened. Surely there’s a better way to learn something than causing a cop to stop and educate you.
2) the time spent with a good friend in the back yard ridding the world of monsters with our BB guns- ah that could have gone on forever.
3) I’d just take the bow and run off with it. and
4) Hmm, As much as I’d like to say I wish I could have realized this situation early enough to have prevented it, being shot kinda changes you into a man.
Please see if you can enjoy this collection of questionable adventures:

Ha – I saw that face you just made.
You were thinking something along the line of; “Good grief – what did he do this time?”
