Helping others discover their roots
āThere are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.ā Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel is essential to good parenting. However, I feel I must also provide my children (and myself) insight into the ones who came before us: our ancestors whose lives and stories have shaped us into who we are. aww – I would have tried that if I’d thought of it, but all I kept were the Sears Tool catalog. We would have just ended up with a drill press.
Oh wait – we did. . .

Hello Ann Marie. Tales of a Family has been kind of quiet lately which normally means your students and administration are keeping you busy. I hope not too much so.
A peer blogger sent out a photo story prompt that I picked up and decided to give it a try. It did not come out as I first imagined (funny how that works sometimes isn’t it) but as I put the final period to the story I thought you might enjoy it. The images remind me of the tone of so many of your posts, except mine is fiction.
Anyway, I wanted to share it with you with the hope that it gives you a 5 minute reason to smile.
Blessings
