A Reminder of Your Homecoming

I’ve made up my mind.

Pack your bags and leave, right now!

No more pretending-

This place is my home, my port.

Do not violate, my thoughts-

with false promises

Unspoken desires surge

and trap emotions.

I still long for one more breath-

When time promised endless days.

Take your sentiments!

Remove your lost memories-

Return to the grave-

Move away from my spirit

So I may return to walk

With the living and

learn to live without your love

until my last day

when eternity arrives-

Then- Bless me with your return!

Today’s poetry challenge included thoughts on poems and you, written as notes while using a suggested form of a Tanka or Cinquain.
