I came to a fork in the road,
and knew not which way to turn.
Should I scramble to the left?
Should I clamor to the right?
My heart intensely beat-
from the decision I had to make.
I trembled with indecisiveness,
afraid to make my move.
One more mistake,
I could not measure,
how should I ever choose?
My past missteps haunted me-
I was so afraid to lose.
Until that small still voice
did softly call to me-
“Lay your burdens at My feet,
and I will set you free.”
