Helping others discover their roots
“There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.” Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel is essential to good parenting. However, I feel I must also provide my children (and myself) insight into the ones who came before us: our ancestors whose lives and stories have shaped us into who we are. This is my journey; these are their stories…

Staying positive or seeing the light when everything seems negative and darkness is all around is really, really hard. However, sometimes a bit of hope or a small smile is all that you need to endure. Keep counting your blessings and seeing the humor in life, Ann Marie. “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”

I want a procedure that wold allow a person who cares for you to add notes ourselves to your jar. That way, there will always be things in there that might encourage, surprise or remind you of truths that even you have not allowed to even take root. I would contribute to that jar and bet you would enjoy the gems your friends would drop in – you might enjoy them so much that you would almost look forward to the next time you would need to draw one out.
