Hmm….Questions…Questions…

So I was tagged by a fellow blogger and friend, Kevin Parish from What Words May Come to answer three questions.  Before reading my answers, please take the time to read his amazing poetry on faith, love, and  life.

If you were given $1,000,000.00 what would you do with it?

If I were given a million dollars, I would sell my house, set some many back for retirement, and look for a place to retire.  I would want to live in a little town or have some property in the mountains. I would also want to share my gift with others. Honestly, I know it sounds corny, but I think it would be so much fun to be able to do random acts of kindness and help others without anyone knowing about the person behind the scenes.

If you were given an all-expense paid trip for 30 days to anywhere in the world where would you go and why?

If I could visit anywhere in the world for 30 days, I would want to visit Paris, France.  This city has so many places to that I would want to visit, the many museums and gardens, the palaces, the monuments, the churches, the street cafes, even the cemeteries are amazing!  Plus, my some of my family came from France, and I would love to learn more about their history.

Living or deceased who would you like to sit and have a long discussion with and why?
I nominate:

Elva Allen – abt 1970

If I could sit with anyone and have a long discussion, hands down it would be my maternal grandmother.  She has been gone for 35 years, and I miss her all the time!  She left this world behind when I was twenty-one.  Now that I am older, I have so many questions I would love to ask her, especially about our family history.  Still, more than anything, I would love to hear the sound of her voice.  I would love to her laugh.  I want to hear her ask to play another game of Chinese Checkers.  I long for one more hug.  I wish I could see her sweet face just one more time.

The three people I nominate are Gary A. Wilson, KTC, and Covert Novelist.  Please check out their blogs; I promise you will not be disappointed.

Here are my three questions for my nominees:

  1. What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
  2. If you had unlimited funds to build a house that you would live in for the rest of your life, what would the finished house be like?
  3. What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

  1. I love your answers to Kevin’s questions, Ann Marie. I agree with you about living in a wooded abode, visiting Paris (for me again), and seeing my maternal grandma just one more time. Now, onto your questions for me. Although I already posted these answers on my blog, I thought that I would share them with you too.

    1. What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
If time and money weren’t an issue, I would travel more. I have traveled to northern and central Italy (https://kindredconnection.wordpress.com/2018/08/08/ciao-italia/), northern France (https://kindredconnection.wordpress.com/2018/05/04/tour-de-france/), and many other places all over the world (https://kindredconnection.wordpress.com/2017/08/29/half-past-life/). No matter how many places I have visited, I always want to see more. But as Jim Croce said, “But there never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do once you find them…”

    2. If you had unlimited funds to build a house that you would live in for the rest of your life, what would the finished house be like?
I do not need a grand house, although I would love to have one of those immense libraries—two-storied with a spiral staircase— they are found in some English estates. And because I prefer living in the mountains far from other people, that would be where I would build my home… off the grid as much as possible (using solar and wind energy.)

    3. What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
I think everyone should fall in love and have someone love them back at least once in their lives. As the Beatles said, “Love is all you need.”

    1. Hello Antoinette and thanks for following that link to my answers. I will not, but am tempted to ask how many of my points in question 3 you’ve done. I suspect several – your heart gives you away my friend.
